I ordered this cake since my daughter was away at college for yet another birthday. She has not had a birthday at home since tenth grade so this was 4 years without. I was very pleased that this cake shipped with the plates, forks, napkins and server. It made it oh so much easier! It arrived at her dorm exactly on her birthday and was frozen solid in this extreme summer heat--a pleasant surprise. She got it out of the box and left it in her room to thaw. She said the icing was very delicious but the cake a little dry. I don't know if the sponge cake that comes with the regular chocolate cake would be moister. The next day, after the cake sat a while, she said it was better. I was happy that the cake was not damaged in transport in any way. While expensive, there was no way I could have shipped a home-made cake and have it arrive in such good condition. I did want to surprise her and this did the trick. And as the cake got better with age I might send the next one a day ahead...
