  • Our 8-inch German Chocolate cake is a rich, moist chocolate layer cake topped with our creamy German chocolate frosting.  The two layers are filled with a blend of Coconut, Pecans and Rum.  Chocolate cake crumbs adorn the sides.

    Contrary to popular belief, German Chocolate cake did not originate in Germany.  It is named in honor of American Sam German who developed a brand of dark baking chocolate in 1852!

    Excellent

    I bought this cake for my man's birthday and everybody loved it. Got it on schedule and excellent condition. I was able to taste the perfect balance of flavors, sweetness, textures and moist in a cake. Got to have it again, upcoming father's day is a good excuse to enjoy this wonderful treat. Simply delicious!!!

    "I have never written a review on a product; however, I felt I needed to share my experience with 1-800-BAKERY.com. I ordered the German Chocolate Cake to be delivered to Oklahoma for my Dad's 70th Birthday and believe me, I was skeptical about ordering a CAKE online.

    Not only was the package securely wrapped, the cake was BEAUTIFUL. To quote several people at the party, including my very finicky Mother, ""It is the BEST German chocolate cake that I've ever tasted"". Now, THAT is a compliment!

    Beautiful yet Rich

    The cake was delivered on schedule, beautiful and delicious. The fudge icing was as little too rich.
