It all started with 1-800-Bakery.com. In 2004, I had the idea to create America’s Neighborhood Bakery- online. Folks thought it was a crazy idea at first, but over the past decade our business has exploded.

It turned out plenty of people have a daughter in college, or a grandmother in another state, or a wife who travels for business, but still want to be able to share fresh, delicious desserts with their loved ones. Celebrating birthdays or promotions, or simply because – whatever the reason, there was a big need for the ability to have fresh bakery goods delivered conveniently and reliably to family and friends all around the country.

Soon we realized that we had filled one need, but there was an even bigger one out there: companies needed to be able to order branded cookies and cakes for all kinds of reasons. Corporate events, office parties, employee recognition gifts, customer appreciation gift baskets, promotional gifts – the list goes on and on.

It was a life-changing realization. We felt 1-800-Bakery.com was uniquely suited to fill this need for companies. Our excellent reputation for consistency and deliciousness made us a perfect candidate to branch out into working with businesses.

Not only that, but as a Chef, I was excited for the opportunity to experiment with creating all new products, designs that no one had ever seen before! We started with simple logo cookies and logo cakes, and have since expanded that line to include chocolates, gift baskets- and the world’s first QR Code cookies.

If people thought 1-800-Bakery.com was a crazy idea in 2004, imagine what they would have said if I told them that in a few more years, people would be scanning cookies with their phones and connecting with brands online.
