Two of these cakes were served at my wedding reception. They were simply out of this world. Being a southern girl, I grew up with red velvet cakes as a staple for special occassions. Now I live in the Northeast and they are not common - in fact, many people don't know what they are! Thank you for helping to make this very special occassion VERY special!

My red velvet cake was delivered in the two days promised and in excellent condition. The red velvet cake was the best I've ever tasted. It was super moist and the cream cheese frosting was so yummy. I was proud to share this cake with my family! I only wish it were bigger because it tasted like more please.

The cake arrived very late...too late to eat because it had spoiled. It was shipped properly, but the weather was very bad and the ice storm prevented many of the delivery flights and trucks from moving. I still give your bakery an excellent rating since you willingly agreed to refund my money. I will be using the refund to order one of your cakes on another special occasion. I highly recommend you to others and my friends and family.

I got this after local forays proved disappointing. My fave cake purchased for a friend's b'day, who also calls it a favorite. WOW! The cream cheese frosting was "to die for!" Absolute heaven and arrived moist and luscious. MY friends were most impressed and the birthday boy (age 48) raved that it was the best gift...over the real presents! We are very satisfied and will surely be back for more. Thank you, Chef Steve! And BRAVO. :)

"EXCELLENT! It is my husbands favorite cake. It came right on time and was perfectly in tact. He really enjoyed and savored every bite. I ordered the red velvet cake as a valentines surprise at work for my boyfriend. He LOVED it and he brought the leftovers home for me to try. It was the best red velvet cake I've ever had. It was very fresh and moist and they didn't skimp on the frosting...there was plenty in every delicious bite! Plus, he got his delivery on time. He ordered flowers and candy for me...the flowers got there a day late and I never recevied the candy. I highly reccommend 1-800-Bakery for all your gifting needs.

My son requested a red velvet cake for his birthday and I decided to order this one since it made Oprah's list. The cake is moist and the cream cheese frosting is rich and delicious. I just ordered another to send to my mom. This was my first red velvet cake so I have nothing to compare it to, but my family really enjoyed it! Take the plastic wrap off before the cake thaws out. I forgot to do this- the frosting gets really soft at room temperature and it makes it tricky to unwrap it. Not a big deal, I just smoothed it with a butter knife.
